Description

This is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Basingstoke Road. It is two storeys high with an additional attic, originally consisting of five bays arranged symmetrically, with a pediment over the central bay. The house is constructed of brick and has a tiled, hipped roof. The ground floor features a central doorway sheltered by a moulded hood supported on scrolled brackets, flanked by two flush sash windows on each side. Above, the first floor has five flush sash windows, the central one with a decorative brick head. A moulded eaves cornice runs around the building. The pediment contains an oval window, and the roof is pierced by two dormer windows. An extension, two storeys high, adjoins the left side, featuring two broad, segment-headed windows. A group of extensive outbuildings, dating from the 17th to 19th centuries and arranged rectilinearly, extends further to the left.
