Description

Bylands Cottage is a two-storey house that dates from the early 18th century, with later additions from the early 19th and early 20th centuries. The oldest section features exposed timber-framing of a late character with brick infill, while the early extension is constructed of brickwork with cambered openings on the ground floor. A substantial addition was made along the south side in a matching style. The house has a tile roof and decorative bargeboards at the east end. Windows are fitted with casements, and there is a modern gabled brick porch.
