Description

Bramley Corner House is a house built around the 1870s or 1880s for the Beaurepaire estate. It features a red brick structure with a weatherboarded first floor and a clay plain tile roof that has overhanging eaves and gable verges adorned with ornate pierced bargeboards and spike finials. The house has brick axial stacks with corbelled tops.

The layout consists of a large double-depth house with a central entrance and an attached service wing at the rear. In the late 19th century or early 20th century, a large bay window was added to the front left of the house. The architectural style is picturesque.

The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical west front that includes two large weatherboarded gables that jettied out over the brick ground floor, each gable featuring an oriel window. Between the gables is a small gabled dormer with similar bargeboards and a finial, along with a doorway below that has a glazed door and sidelights, topped by a porch canopy with an open-work timber gable. To the left, there is a large brick bay window. All windows are 2 or 3-light casements with lozenge-shaped panes.

The rear elevation is similar but lacks the jettied first floor and has a single-storey service wing attached at the centre. The north and south sides have 3 and 2 bays respectively, featuring gabled oriels supported by wooden brackets and ornate bargeboards. The south side includes a porch with a glazed door and casement, both of which also have lozenge panes. The interior has not been inspected.
