Description
The Old Vicarage, formerly known as The Rectory, dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. This two-storey building features a symmetrical façade with one window on the left, one in the center, and three on the right. It has an old tiled roof that is hipped at the west end and gabled at the east end. The roof is adorned with a fully-moulded cornice that has large coving, which returns on the west end and around the slightly-projecting second bay, which was the former entrance. The walls are made of stucco with a plinth, while the other elevations are constructed in brickwork using Flemish bond with blue headers. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with the outer and middle windows having three divisions. The doorcase has been relocated to the east elevation and features an open pediment, an arched opening, Tuscan pilasters, and panelled reveals.
