Description

Downhams Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with an early 19th-century extension. It is timber-framed and originally comprised one storey and an attic, with a later two-storey extension. The roof is thatched, hipped, with two levels and one eyebrow dormer. A brick stack is located at one end, tapered towards the top. The timber frame is exposed and bricknogged above a cement plinth; the later extension features flint walling with brick quoins. There are casement windows, and a boarded door set within a solid frame.
