Description

Gates and gate-piers located about 50 metres south-southwest of the Old Rectory date from the mid to late 19th century. They are made of cast and wrought iron. The large cast-iron gate-piers at the carriageway feature chamfered shafts, moulded plinths, and caps topped with ball-finials. The entrance includes double gates for the carriageway and a single footway gate, both designed with spearhead shafts and diagonal cross-bracing below the dog-rails.
