Description
Duncroft Cottages is a building that dates from the 17th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. Originally constructed as a timber-framed house, it has since been converted into three cottages, now functioning as two. The structure is one storey with an attic and features three windows. It has a half-hipped tile roof that is raised to form gables above the upper windows, which have cills at eaves level. The front wall, facing south, is tile-hung, while the sides and rear are made of brick, with a brick plinth at the base. The windows are casements. There are two gabled brick porches added later, each with arched openings and double doors that have diagonally-boarded panels. The timber frame is partly exposed, and there is a large chimney breast that includes an oven.
