Description
The Church of All Saints, built in 1877 by Colson, is a Grade II* listed building. This medieval church was almost entirely rebuilt, incorporating some old materials. It features a chancel, a nave, and a south aisle that is shorter than the nave at the west end. The western bell turret is set diagonally and topped with a small broach spire on a wood-framed structure. The church is constructed with flint walling and has buttresses with stone dressings on the north side, as well as diagonally set buttresses at the corners of the nave and chancel. The roof is covered with red tiles. A small re-used lancet window can be found in the chancel, while the other windows date from the restoration period, including a traceried three-light east window. The south porch is timber-framed. Inside, the arcade features pointed arches supported by two octagonal columns with moulded caps and bases, which appear to be re-used from the 13th century. The chancel arch, restored, rests on short attached columns with floral caps and brackets that are carved in the form of heads.
