Description

Minchins Farmhouse is a 17th-century building with early 19th-century alterations, situated on Minchins Lane in Bramley. It is a two-storey and attic farmhouse with four upper windows facing west. The west facade presents a regular appearance, featuring a modern doorway positioned in the third bay. The roof is tiled, with a shafted stack and a small gabled dormer. The walls are red brick in English bond, with a deep eaves cornice made of moulded bricks, tiled courses, and coupled brick 'modillions' extending around end pilasters. A first-floor band runs along the facade, and a high plinth is present at the base. The windows are casements; the ground-floor windows are 19th-century bays supported by brackets and topped with hipped tiled canopies. A modern door sits beneath a similar tiled canopy. The side elevations feature brick brackets under the verges and also a second-floor band. The south side has attic windows and a large 19th-century bay.
