Description
Tidgrove Warren Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse that has been refenestrated in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features an old tiled roof with a central brick stack and an end brick stack on the left wing. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys, with four windows on the front, two windows and one blocked window on the side, and four windows on the rear. There is a stringcourse, plinth, and brick coping with knelers on the rear gable. The front range windows and the 20th-century casements are in original openings and mostly within original pegged architraves. The doorcases are simple and have 20th-century doors. The rear elevation includes blocked window openings, one of which has the outline of a cross casement. The left wing features 20th-century metal casements. Inside, there is an early 18th-century winder staircase with curved tread ends and a square newel post. A ground floor room contains a wide wooden bressumer over an open fireplace, a wooden cupboard with H-hinges, and a two-panelled door. The flint cellar has brick lacing courses and brick cambered recesses.
