Description
Cleavers Farm Barn, dating from the early 19th century, is constructed of brick noggins arranged diagonally, featuring brick quoins and lacing courses. The roof is half-hipped at one end, with weatherboarding on the other gables. There is a later outshut on one side. The barn has a central cart entrance with double doors and two tiers of ventilation slits, and it consists of five bays. The roof structure includes an angled Queen strut with staggered purlins. The attached fold yard walls are primarily made of Laughton marble, a compressed gritty clay nodule, supported by brick buttresses.
