Description

The Village Hall, built in 1892 by Henry Ray Freshfield of Kidbrooke Park in memory of someone, is designed by architect J M Brydon. This two-storey building features three windows. The ground floor is constructed of ashlar stone, while the first floor overhangs and is covered with fishscale tiles. It has sprocket eaves and a tiled roof. The ground floor has two bays, each with two tiers of five-light casement windows supported by wooden mullions. A central projection forms a porch supported by wooden columns, with a room above featuring half-timbering and a gable adorned with elaborate plasterwork. There are later brick additions at the back.
