Description

Rotherdale Cottage is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building that was once two cottages. It was refronted in the early 19th century, with additional portions added at each end. The cottage has two storeys and features three windows. The exterior is made of red brick with grey headers, and the central portion projects slightly, topped with a pediment-like gable. The roof is tiled. The windows are casement style, with the center window designed in a Gothic style, featuring pointed lights and diamond-shaped panes. There is a trellised wooden porch at the entrance. Inside, the cottage has ceiling beams and a fireplace adorned with Corinthian pilasters.
