Description
Aylwins is a house dating from the 16th century, built around an internal courtyard. The east side is a three-storey timber-framed structure with a prominent gable that rises high, resembling a tower. The north side features a mix of stone, red brick, and tile hanging, with a brick gable topped by a stone coping and a brick chimney stack. This side contains casement windows with stone mullions. The remainder of the house is of ashlar and dates to the 19th century. Facing the street, the house is two storeys high with an attic, displaying five windows and two gables containing attic windows. It has a tiled roof and casement windows with stone mullions and transoms.
