Description

Morel House is an L-shaped house located on Mayfield Station Road. The south or back wing dates from the 17th century, with a ground floor made of brick and tile-hung above, both of which are now painted. The front of the house is from the late 18th century and features two storeys and an attic, with three windows and three dormers. The ground floor is painted brick, while the upper section is stuccoed. It has a dentilled eaves cornice and a half-hipped tiled roof. There are bay windows on both floors flanking the doorway, and the glazing bars are intact. The doorway is adorned with Doric pilasters, a pediment, a rectangular fanlight with pointed Gothic divisions, and a door with six fielded panels.
