Description

Huggetts Furnace West Barn is a barn dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and is clad in weatherboarding. The roof, which was originally thatched, is now covered with corrugated iron sheeting; it is hipped at one end and half-hipped at the other. The barn features an off-central cart entrance with a hipped entrance to one side. It consists of five bays and has an aisle on one side. The roof is supported by an angled queen strut design.
