Description

Huggett's Furnace Farmhouse is a timber-framed building dating from the 16th century or earlier. It has an L-shape and was originally constructed with plaster infilling between the timber framing. Over time, the ground floor was refronted with red brick, while the upper part was clad in tile hanging, with the east wall weather-boarded. The east wing features a half-hipped gable that projects slightly and is supported by brackets. The roof is tiled. The windows are casement types. The house is two storeys high and has three windows facing the front.
