Description
Hill House is an 18th-century house located on the north side of High Street, Wadhurst. The building was refaced with curved tiles during the 19th century, although it retains a brick base. It is two storeys high with an attic and has five windows. The two westernmost window bays are slightly recessed and may have been added later. An eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The roof is tiled. A porch with fluted Doric columns fronts the house, leading to a doorway featuring a rectangular fanlight and a door made of six fielded panels. The group value of this building lies in its contribution to the character of the High Street.
