Description
The Eyecatcher at Foxhunt Manor is a decorative structure built in 1903 as a garden feature, which includes a church window from 1765 in the Gothick style.
Constructed from brick with some stone blocks, the eyecatcher features a section of wall that incorporates the reused church window at its center. This window, dating to around 1765, is designed in the Early Gothick style and consists of a stone arched frame with five trefoil-headed lights and a central octofoil, flanked by quatrefoils above. The window is set within a brick surround, accented by irregularly-spaced stone blocks.
On one side of the structure, there is a brick wall with a crow-stepped parapet that ends in a brick pier. The opposite side features a more dilapidated section of brick walling, which has some stone coping and terminates in a stone pier.
