Description
The wall, gate piers, and gates at Foxhunt Manor were built in 1897 for Joseph Lucas. The structure features brick walls with stone piers and cast iron gates.
The design includes entrances for both carriage and pedestrian access, supported by piers and flanked by sections of curved wall. On either side, there are low brick walls in Sussex bond, topped with curved brick coping that ramps up towards the center, where they connect to brick piers in Flemish bond. These piers have rendered plinths and cornices. Attached to the piers are a cast iron pedestrian gate and a pair of carriage gates, which include dog rails and decorative scrollwork. A freestanding pier, similar in design but topped with a stone ball finial, complements the gates.
