Description
The walled garden at Foxhunt Manor, built around 1900 for Joseph Lucas, is designed in the Jacobean style. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, featuring some stone details and iron gates. The garden has a rectangular plan, with the main entrance located on the west side.
The entrance on the west side features a pedimented gable adorned with a floral terracotta plaque, and below it is a round-headed entrance that includes a pair of decorative cast iron gates. This entrance is flanked by square piers that have moulded bracket cornices and stepped buttresses. The attached wall stands approximately eight feet high, topped with brick coping, and includes brick piers with stone ball finials at intervals, along with some stepped buttresses.
