Description

MAYFIELD NEWICK LANE 1. 5208 Mayfield Moat Mill House and Mill TQ 52 SE 28/573 II 2. The mill-house and mill are now all one building. The house is a C17 timber- framed building refaced with red brick on ground floor and tile-hung above. Tiled roof. Casement windows. Two storeys and attic. Three windows. Three dormers. The mill adjoined the house at the west end and has now been converted into part of the house. C18. Three storeys. Two windows. Ground floor red brick, above faced with weather-boarding. Tiled roof. Modern windows. The machinery of the mill is intact, except the mill-stones, but has been glassed in.
