Description
Cotchford Farmhouse is an L-shaped timber-framed house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. The ground floor is refaced with red brick, while the upper part is tile-hung. It features a tiled roof and casement windows. Notably, A A Milne, the dramatist and poet, lived here for many years, and all his "Winnie the Pooh" books were written at this location.
