Description
The barn at Halland Park Farm, located to the south-west of the farmhouse, is a tall building that was originally the coachhouse of Halland House, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of red brick and has two storeys with five window bays, each flanked by brick buttresses that extend the full height of the building. There is a brick stringcourse and a cemented coved eaves cornice, topped by a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. The original windows were casement windows with two lights, and those on the ground floor featured two tiers of lights with stone mullions and transoms set in a stone surround. However, all the windows are now blocked with brick that appears to be as old as the facade but likely dates from the construction of the farmhouse around 1770. Each blocked window has a small triangular ventilation opening in the center, edged with brick. Additionally, there is a tall carriage entrance in the center of the building, which currently has no doors.
