Revenue Cottage, Shadwell Cottage, Smugglers, The Highway Cottage, and Timbers are a group of five cottages located on Shadwell Row, originally built as six separate cottages in the 17th century or earlier. The building is two storeys tall and features ten windows. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with grey headers, while the upper floor is tile-hung. The roof is tiled and has two levels. The windows are casement style with diamond-shaped panes.
