Description

Mountsfield is a house built in 1776 by Thomas Phillips Lamb. The main block is square, with three windows on each side and two storeys. It is constructed of yellow brick, with a stuccoed cornice and a high balustraded parapet. The ground floor windows are set within recessed brick arcading, incorporating a stuccoed string course at the spring of the arches, and retain their original glazing bars. A porch features a pair of Doric columns supporting a flat entablature.
