Description

This is a terrace of seven houses, known as Spring Place, built in the first half of the 19th century. They are located on the east side of Military Road. The houses are two storeys high and each features a single window. They are constructed of red brick with slate roofs; Nos. 5 to 11 have parapets along the roofline. The doors to Nos. 1 and 3 are situated immediately next to each other. The houses have sash windows, retaining their original glazing bars. Each recessed doorway is topped with a semi-circular fanlight also containing glazing bars. Spring Place is historically linked as a group with the nearby Bethel Chapel.
