Description

No. 16 Upper Lake is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building. The ground floor has been refaced with brick, while the upper floor features tile-hanging, both of which are now painted. A small section of a bressummer is exposed below the first floor, revealing some timbering. The first floor has sash windows with intact glazing bars. The building has a tiled roof and a modern shop front. The doorway, dating from the 18th century, has doors made up of six fielded panels. The building is two storeys high and has two windows.
