Description

Watchbell House, originally two houses, largely dates from the 19th century. However, the eastern half of the building, which is two storeys and has an attic, may originate from the 15th century. The front of the building is constructed of red brick and has curved tiles. The eastern portion contains original ceiling beams and a notable fireplace. A three-storey extension forms the western half of the property. The building is situated within a group that includes numbers 6 to 16, The Studio Chambers, and the Hope Anchor Hotel.
