Description

This chest tomb, dating from around 1837, is located approximately 30 meters east of the chancel at All Saints Church in Beckley. It is made of stone and features a moulded top with a plain base resting on a tooled plinth, although the railings are now missing. The tomb has corner pilasters and panels adorned with a grooved pattern. An inscription on the tomb reads: "To the memory of Henry Hodges MA, Clerk Rector of this Parish for 55 years and rector of Frittenden Kent Obit July 1st 1837 AETAT 58."
