This is said to have been the house occupied by the verderers of the Brickwall estate. C15 timber-framed building, well restored about 1933, with plaster infilling and curved braces on first floor. Thatched roof. Gable at north end of front with carved bargeboards, pendant and finial. Casement windows some with original wooden mullions and one of 3 tiers of lights. One oriel window on brackets. The south front has its first floor oversailing on brackets. Ground floor addition at north end. Two storeys. Four windows. There is a good interior with original hall never floored over, a king-post roof and a wall painting. In front of the house are seven unusually large almost conical clipped yew trees.
