Description
Walland is a 15th-century timber-framed and close-studded house, originally known as Wallands Manor. The ground floor has been rebuilt in red brick. It features three weather-boarded gables that overhang on bressummers and brackets, which still have their original bargeboards and pendants. The house has a tiled roof and casement windows, with several original windows now blocked. At the north end, there is a massive ashlar chimney breast with a cluster of five red brick shafts, and another similar cluster of five shafts is located at the south end of the roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with five windows and three attic windows in the gables.
