Description

36 Church Square is a 17th-century timber-framed building that has undergone significant alterations. It stands two storeys high with an attic and features two windows. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the first floor is stuccoed and designed to imitate masonry, slightly overhanging the ground floor. A Victorian gabled dormer has been added to the roof. The ground floor includes a bay window with preserved tile glazing bars. This building was originally part of a single house with No 34. It is part of a group with Nos 20 to 46 (even) and No 33, which also includes Nos 27 to 30 on Watchbell Street.
