Description

The archway leading into Crouch Garden is a 16th-century stone structure featuring chamfered jambs and a dripstone. It was originally part of the Courthouse or Town Hall of Seaford, which was historically linked to the Cinque Ports as a limb of Hastings. In 1931, the archway was moved to its current location and re-erected, as noted by a tablet beside the arch.
