Description
Nos 2, 3, and 4 Crouch Lane are three cottages built around 1820. No 2 features a rendered exterior with a hipped tiled roof, standing two storeys high with one window that has sixteen-pane sashes. It has a six reeded panelled door topped with a flat hood supported by brackets, and a decorative rainwater head. No 3 is pebble-dashed and has a slate roof. It is also two storeys tall with one window, featuring a mid-19th century sash with verticals and horns. The right side has a doorcase with wooden architrave and applied lozenge decoration, along with an original flush panelled door from around 1820 that includes a fanlight made from the last two panels. No 4 is pebble-dashed on a plinth with a tiled roof and end brick chimneys. It has one modern dormer on the second floor and twelve-pane sashes set in moulded architrave. The left side has a 20th-century door with a rectangular fanlight and a hood with brackets above.
