Description
Norlington Farmhouse is an L-shaped building that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations made in the 18th century. It has two storeys and an attic in the gable end. The north side features six windows facing north and one window facing east. The north front is finished in stucco, while the east front is made of painted brick with a stuccoed gable that overhangs on brackets. The windows are sash style with intact glazing bars. The doorway is adorned with pilasters, a pediment, and a semi-circular fanlight. On the south wall, there is a brick chimney breast. The south wing was added in the early 19th century, constructed of red brick with grey headers and featuring a slate roof with three windows. There is a small projection at the angle of the L that has a round-headed window, which likely contains the staircase.
