Description
No 4, which includes the former No 6, is a 16th-century timber-framed house that originally consisted of two cottages. The first floor overhangs on beams, and there is a brick buttress on the first floor to the south of the northern bay. The house features a red tiled roof and casement windows. The ground floor has undergone significant alterations, with a plastered front and enlarged windows. There are three doorways present. The northernmost bay was refaced in the 18th century, and the entire front is plastered. The roof has been covered with slate, and a sash window has been inserted. The side of the building is hung with tiles.
