Description

The granary, now used as a garden store, is located approximately 30 metres north of Banisters in Finchampstead. It dates from the 18th century and features a timber frame with weatherboarding and an old tile roof that is hipped on the south and gabled on the north. The building has a rectangular plan and stands on 12 staddles, four of which have been replaced by brickwork. There is a plain boarded door on the west side, which is accessed by a flight of open wooden steps. Additionally, there is a small 19th-century brick extension on the north side, which includes a high-level 3-light 19th-century casement window. The granary is included for its group value.
