Description

The White Hart is an inn dating to the 16th century, with alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of painted brick and rendering, with timber framing, and has an old tile roof with gabled dormers and chimneys on the right and ridge. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with two storeys, an attic, and a cellar. The front facing the road has a projecting one-bay gable on the left, featuring an upper sash window above a three-light sash window, both with glazing bars. To the right are two 19th-century dormers, and three upper bays with sashes. A painted inn sign panel is flanked by sash windows. A 19th-century entrance porch has winged, half-glazed doors. To the right of the porch is an angular bay with a hipped roof of old tiles.
