Description

Applemore is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered and extended in the 20th century. The building features part timber framing with painted brick infill and part painted brick, topped with a thatched gabled roof. It stands two storeys high with flanking chimneys and has a rectangular plan consisting of two framed bays. The entrance front has three bays with two-light casement windows and two ledge doors arranged between the outer and central bays; the door on the right includes a 20th-century gabled porch entry. To the right, there is a higher two-storey painted brick extension with a thatched roof, which is of no special interest. Inside, much of the frame is visible on both floors in the 17th-century section.
