Description

The lodge adjoining and south of Oldfield is a building from the late 19th to early 20th century, designed in the Gothick style. It is constructed of stock brick and has one and a half storeys. The building features a tall gabled roof, decorative tiling on the gabled dormers, and decorative bargeboards. On the river front, one gable has a cusped pierced bargeboard and slender cross braces, along with a three-light timber window that has slender pointed panels. To the right, there is a tall four-sided turret with small dormers, contributing to its picturesque appearance. An entrance front stone panel is inscribed with "JBH 1895."
