Description
The building is a boathouse dating to 1899. It was constructed for H Woodhouse, a local boat builder, and remains largely unaltered. The boathouse is built of rendered brick, with tile hanging and half-timbering in the upper part, and has a tile roof. The lower level is an open boathouse with four segmental-headed glazed doors, the central pair being wider. Above are two storeys and an attic, with seven windows on the upper floor. The window arrangement is 1.5.1, with the outer windows gabled and the inner windows grouped within a larger gable, where two windows flank a clock. Two tall rendered stacks are also present.
