Description
This is a small gate lodge located approximately 20 metres northwest of Benham Park, East Lodge, built in the late 19th century. The lodge is constructed from Portland stone ashlar and features a hipped slate roof with one stack positioned to the northwest. It is a single-storey building.
On the southeast front, there is a door framed by an architrave, with scrolled brackets that support a flat hood. The corners of the building are accentuated with rusticated quoins. There is a wing wall that projects about 5 metres to the northwest, which ends in a pier topped with a ball finial.
This lodge is included in the listing for its group value with the surrounding structures.
