Description
Buckle Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century and 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick nogging and some partial refacing. The roof is thatched and hipped to the right, with two eyebrow dormers that have tiled eaves below and a central ridge stack. The building has a lobby entrance type design with two framed bays and is 1½ storeys high. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door and a 20th-century gabled porch with a glazed door, flanked by two segmental-headed three-light 20th-century casements. To the left is an 18th-century block made of red brick with an old tile roof, a gabled dormer, and a central ridge stack. This section is also 1½ storeys high and features two-light and one-light segmental-headed casements to the left, along with a boarded door to the right that has a 20th-century gabled porch.
