Description
102 and 103 Bartholomew Street are probably 17th century houses that were refronted in the late 18th century. They are two storeys tall, with No 102 featuring a dormer. There is a central passageway and one window on each house. The roofs are tiled, and a former central brick stack has been removed. The buildings are timber framed with plaster panels on the south gable. The front is made of grey brick with a painted ground floor. No 102 has a baking dormer casement with slated cheeks, while both houses have segmental-arched, flush-framed sash windows on the first floor; No 103 retains glazing bars with small panes. The central entrance to the passageway is segmental-arched. The ground floor fronts have been modernized. At the rear, there are two large timber framed gables with brick nogging, and the roof of No 102 has been heightened.
