Description

Millers House and 2, Shaw Mill Cottage comprise two houses built in the 17th and 19th centuries. The buildings are constructed of brick, timber framing with brick infill, and some tile hanging. They consist of two parallel ranges, both with tiled roofs and three chimney stacks. The original southern range, dating to the 17th century, is one and a half storeys high and features casement windows. It has a tile-hung gable to the east with a window, and a 20th-century gabled porch on the right with a window to the left. Three hipped dormers are present on the south side. The northern range, built in the 19th century, is two storeys high and also has casement windows. It has three windows on each floor, with an arched window above a staircase positioned off-centre to the right.
