Description

The Hatchet is an early 19th-century building, formerly known as the Hatchet Inn, now in single occupation. The date "John Childs 1807" is inscribed in the brickwork at the rear. The structure has three storeys, with the north building featuring four windows and the south building featuring three windows. It has a tiled roof, with the north building having a hipped roof. The exterior is finished in stucco with a rusticated ground floor. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars, and the south building has keys to the first and second floor windows. There is a round-arched opening on the ground floor.
