Description
Birch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century and 17th century, with a 19th-century refacing. It features a timber frame with later brick refacing and a rendered first floor. The roof is covered with old tiles, half hipped to the left, and has a gabled semi-dormer to the right that includes a casement window. The building is arranged in an L-plan with two framed bays and a two-bay wing to the left at the rear. It has a lobby entrance design and is one and a half storeys tall. The southeast front has one glazing bar sash window on each side of a central gabled porch, which contains a four-panelled door under a segmental head. The rear wing from the 16th century has its timber frame exposed in the gable end.
