Description
The Manor House is a house built in 1784 and earlier, located in Yattendon. It is constructed of red brick and features a ground floor cill string, a 20th-century wooden cornice, and a stone-coped panelled parapet adorned with gilded bird finials at the ends. The house has a hipped two-span tiled roof with end stacks, a basement, and two storeys, comprising five bays with glazing bar sashes. Access is provided by five steps leading to a central half-glazed door, which has a rectangular fanlight and an oval fan. The doorcase is decorated with reeded pilasters that support small scroll brackets and a straight hood. To the left, there is a 19th-century addition that is set back, made of red brick with a hipped tile roof, two storeys high, featuring two first-floor segmental-headed glazing bar sashes and one ground-floor 20th-century three-light leaded casement.
