Description
Willis's Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that stands two storeys high. It is constructed of grey brick with red brick dressings, featuring vertical strips on the main facade and horizontal bands on the rear and side. The roof is covered with old tiles and has flanking and corner chimneys. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a later extension that creates an additional arm at right angles.
The south and west elevations of the main part of the farmhouse are blank. On the west elevation of the subsidiary arm, there is a vertical sliding sash window and a door. The east elevation of the main arm features three mullioned and transomed timber casements with leaded lights, set under rubbed brick arches with key stones on the ground floor. There is also a first-floor string course and a door with a square fanlight beneath a flat hood. On the south elevation of the lesser arm, there are two mullioned and transomed windows on the first floor and three-light casements on the ground floor. The easternmost end of this elevation is a 19th-century extension that runs to the north and includes a two-storey cant bay window on its northern side.
